What's the benefit of private lessons?
The benefit of private lessons, is that each student can learn at
his or her own pace. No one can be left behind, and a
confidence in the student can build, which is very important in
the world of the performing arts. Children and adults with
disabilities can especially benefit from private music lessons.
Private lessons are also great for the student that strives to be
the best. They can jump much further ahead than what they
may learn in a group class, or they can get the special attention
they may need to really succeed.
Sadly, music and other arts programs have been cut from
schools. Learning a musical instrument has been proven time,
and time again to help children's learning, and learning capacity.
It helps with problem solving, hand- eye coordination, math,
science, speech, and many other areas of the learning process.
That's where private lessons come in. Some schools may have
a music program, but due to budget cuts and the like, it's not
always possible for them to be instrument specific. If it's not a
band or orchestra instrument, it's not offered at all. Private
lessons are here to take up that gap.
